Who do I call about a hurt squirrel?
A licensed wildlife rehabilitator. In the US,
Animal Help Now finds rehabbers, hotlines and agencies near you, and every state fish and wildlife department keeps a list of licensed rehabilitators.
What do I do while I wait for help?
Put the squirrel in a small box lined with a soft cloth, in a quiet, dark spot away from pets and kids. Don't feed it or give it water, and wash your hands after handling.
